The UAE Armed Forces recently awarded the American University of Sharjah (AUS) a Dh250,000 grant to develop a digital radar system to ensure better performance and utilisation of defence and military applications.
The funding will be used to acquire state-of-the art test equipment and components to design, implement and test the S-band digital radar prototype.
