Dubai: Seven Emirati men who assaulted the Kuwaiti jet ski team on Saturday were arrested by the Dubai Police.
Kuwait thanked the UAE authorities for their swift reaction to contain the incident.
Major General Fahd Al Fahd, chairman of the Kuwaiti Marine Sports Club, also thanked Emirati senior officials, the chairman and members of the UAE Marine Sports Federation, the Dubai Marine Sports Club and other sports associations and fans for their fraternal stands.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had instructed police to identify and arrest all those involved.
The Kuwaiti jet ski team was taking part in the fourth round of the UAE Jet Ski Championship at Umm Suqueim Beach last week.
