Bride says she was divorced via phone without any reasons
Ras Al Khaimah An Emirati groom divorced his Emirati bride via phone, just after three days of their marriage, in Ras Al Khaimah.
A case has been filed in the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Court, a Judiciary official said Thursday.
The 20-year-old Emirati bride has filed a case against her ex-husband following the surprise divorce, which shocked her just after three days of their marriage, demanding Dh30,000 marriage dowry and alimony, the official said.
The Emirati bride told the judge that she was informed about the divorce by phone without giving any reasons , the official said.
“She told the judge that her ex-husband left her alone at night and spent his fist night at his relatives’ house in another emirate, the official said.
“The next day, her ex-husband divorced her via phone without telling her the reason. He told her only that he does not want to be unfair to her,” the official said.
The Ras Al Khaimah Civil court decided to hear the case in two parts in September, the official said
