Los Angeles: Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence, toured Virgin Galactic Company and Mojave Air and Space Port in California as part of his US visit aimed to deepen technology and manufacturing cooperation.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the Crown Prince discussed with Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Virgin Galactic, investment partnership and ways to develop them especially in space services.

Richard Branson introduced the high-speed Hyperloop transportation system that connects cities and shortens distances. The Saudi Crown Prince also listened to a presentation on spacecraft that will enter commercial services.

Cooperation in manufacturing, research

They also reviewed opportunities for deepening cooperation in modern technologies through research, manufacturing, and training Saudi youth so as to transform the Kingdom from a consumer to a producer of technology.

The Crown Prince was briefed on the progress achieved by Virgin Galactic and its plan to launch the first spacecraft to monitor Earth.

Hyperloop

Branson introduced the high-speed Hyperloop transportation system that connects cities and shortens distances.

Virgin Galactic also unveiled new and unique aircraft fuel compartments.

The Crown Prince listened to a presentation on spacecraft that will enter commercial services.

Crown Prince Mohammad is in Los Angeles on the last leg of his 18-day multicity US visit.

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) is hosting a summit in Los Angeles on Wednesday at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills to introduce and attract entertainment ventures across Saudi Arabia.

Summit

The summit will explore the Kingdom’s focus on creating a more vibrant society as part of the Crown Prince’s Vision 2030.

The new initiative includes significant tourism-focused investments, including in themed attractions, shows, culture, nature, digital, sports and sightseeing.

Nearly 70 percent of the Kingdom’s 32 million people are under the age of 30, and envision a future where they can drive, cheer, play and share their passions with the world.

“The Summit is designed to educate and advance creative industry opportunities,” said GEA CEO Faisal Bafarat.
