Jeddah: The Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a security patrol in Al Mansoura district in Qatif Governorate, Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the death of a security personnel and injured six others.

OIC Secretary-General Dr Yousuf Bin Ahmad Al Othaimeen expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

He was quoted as reaffirming the solidarity of the organisation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism and extremism that is aiming to destabilising its security and stability. The group offered its support for all measures being taken by the Kingdom to fight terrorist plots, terror organisations and groups, and to protect its citizens and the country’s security.

Earlier, the UAE strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia.

UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation condemned in a statement the criminal act and permanently rejects all forms of violence and terrorism, reiterating its strong support for Saudi Arabia and its firm standing in confronting these serious crimes.

“This terrorist act is completely incompatible with all human and religious principles and values,” it said.
