Dubai: Tyres, mirrors or hubcaps taken from cars by thieves are common news, but a whole door missing off a vehicle is highly unusual.
One Saudi driver discovered the back door of his car had vanished after returning to it on Wednesday morning.
The man was planning to drive his car on Wednesday morning in Khamis Mushait, a city in south-west Saudi Arabia, but instead he had to visit the police station to report that the door of his vehicle was not there, Saudi new site Sabq reported on Thursday.
Wrenches and tools were found in the vehicle, allegedly left by the thieves who seemed to know what to do to get the door perfectly off.
The police have launched an investigation.
