Dubai: An Egyptian man in Kuwait has died eight days after he was in a tragic car accident where he watched his wife and two children burn to death.

On June 26, the family’s vehicle collided with a car driven by a Kuwaiti citizen, and the vehicle caught fire instantly.

Osama Taha, who endured severe smoke inhilation, was taken to the hospital where he was operated on, the Saudi daily Sabq reported.

However, his condition deteriorated in the next seven days and he passed away on Wednesday.

After an autopsy is completed his body will be repatriated back to Egypt.

Taha had brought his wife, 30, and their sons, aged three and one, to Kuwait to spend their summer holidays.

Sabq did not say whether or not the Kuwaiti driver would face any legal action.
