Sharjah: Motorists parking in Al Majaz Area 3 will have to pay parking fees under the Mawaqif Paid Parking System starting from Saturday, according to the Sharjah Municipality.

The move comes as part of the municipality’s efforts to regulate traffic, provide ample parking lots for residents and curb the misuse of parking spaces, said Ali Abu Ghazeen, director of the Public Parking Department at Sharjah Municipality.

The paid parking zones include lots at Street 13 and Street 28 as well as public parking spaces on Al Safeya Street in the section linking Street 22 and Street 28.
