Festive recipe: Matcha and sesame cake pops

Makes 20 | Prep time 10 mins | Cooking time  1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

 225g Madeira cake

 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

 2 tbsp runny honey

 50g white chocolate, melted

 2 tsp matcha powder

 100g sesame seeds

 Edible glitter, or gold leaf to decorate (optional)

Method

1. Crumble the Madeira cake into a bowl 

and add the coconut oil, honey, white chocolate and matcha. Mix the ingredients together with your hands until they form 

a pliable dough.

2. Roll the dough into 20 balls and roll them in sesame seeds to coat.

3. Insert a cake pop stick into each ball, then transfer to the fridge to firm up for 1 hour.

4. The cake pops can be decorated with edible glitter or gold leaf just before serving.
