Fire in under construction tower in Dubai

Dubai: A fire broke out in a 40-storey under construction tower at Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Civil Defence said on Monday.

The fire occurred in the tower at 1:39pm and firefighters from Al Barsha and Al Marsa fire stations dispatched to the area and brought down the blaze.

“We controlled the fire at 3:07pm in the tower. No injuries have been reported in the fire,” Spokesperson of Dubai Civil Defence said.

By 3:21pm, the fire was under cooling process.

The site will be handed over to fire experts from Forensic Department in Dubai police to determine the reason behind the fire
