Taylor Swift and Blake Lively haven't been on talking terms since the latter's case against Justin Baldoni.

Taylor Swift knows how to celebrate in style. To ring in her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, the singer threw a glitzy, fun-filled bash at Casa Cipriani in NYC on August 13, inviting her inner circle, including BFF Ashley Avignone, to dance, toast, and soak up the spotlight.

But not everyone got the memo. According to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, one high-profile name was conspicuously missing: Blake Lively. Sources say it wasn’t an accident, Swift apparently intentionally left Lively off the guest list. Ouch.

Will Taylor Swift take a potshot at Lively in her new album?

And if you think Swift only writes about exes, think again. Swifties are buzzing that her new track “Ruin the Friendship” might be taking aim at Lively, whose friendship with the pop superstar allegedly turned frosty after Swift's name popped up in Lively's court battle with Justin Baldoni, star and director of It Ends With Us.

Why things got frosty

Court filings suggested the drama got messy when Lively allegedly threatened to leak private text messages with Swift if Baldoni didn’t comply with her script changes—though Swift has never publicly commented, and the allegation was later dropped. Baldoni’s legal team even tried to subpoena Swift, only for the move to be quashed, with her reps calling it a “tabloid clickbait stunt.”

Despite the headlines, Swift seems focused on her music. She revealed on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast that she recorded the album during the European leg of her Eras Tour, which coincided with the Lively-Baldoni drama. Fans are left guessing whether “Ruin the Friendship” is really about Blake—or just another masterful Swiftie mystery.
