Hysteria hit makers Muse called off their Abu Dhabi gig this morning (Jan 14). Announced via X, the statement by organizers Live Nation on the Etihad Arena handle said the Feb 4, 2026 concert was being cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control”. The post went on to say that in addition to the UAE, upcoming shows in India and South Africa have also been cancelled for the moment.

Calling it a “very difficult decision”, the British rock band apologized to fans. “We’re truly sorry to everyone who purchased tickets and appreciate your understanding.”

The statement also said that refunds would be available to people from their point of purchase. “We hope to be back with you again very soon,” it concluded.

The arena added that refunds would be processed automatically via buyers’ original point of purchase and no action would be required from the buyer’s end.

Muse – which includes Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard – has been around since 1994 and served us hits like Panic Station, Sing for Absolution, and Madness.

Your plans for Feb 4 might have just suffered a setback, but keep an eye on Gulfnews.com for other concerts and gigs in the UAE.
