Dubai: Pakistani superstars Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan — the OG Pakistani heartthrob duo — are heading to Global Village, and fans have every reason to lose their calm.

The beloved on-screen pair, whose chemistry in Humsafar practically rewrote the rules of Pakistani romance, will be appearing live on the Main Stage at Global Village on Thursday, November 20, at 8.30 PM. The occasion? A special public welcome for their long-awaited film, Neelofar.

Neelofar, written and directed by Ammar Rasool, has been one of Pakistani cinema’s most anticipated titles for years. Filming wrapped back in December 2020, with early plans for a 2022 release, but the creators chose to hold the film until the timing felt right. Now slated for a 2025 rollout, Neelofar is already building buzz thanks to its potent storyline and its lead stars’ undeniable fan pull.

In the film, Mahira Khan plays Neelofar, a visually impaired woman whose world is transformed by an unexpected connection with Mansoor Ali Khan, played by Fawad Khan — a quiet, introspective writer. The story explores sight, love, empathy, and the invisible threads that pull two people together.

Mahira has described this as “the most challenging role of my career,” diving deep into emotional vulnerability to portray Neelofar’s inner world with authenticity.

Fawad, who also joins the producing team, brings his trademark gravitas to the project, making this reunion even more meaningful for fans who have waited over a decade to see them share the screen in a new story.

Their Global Village appearance promises star power, fan-centric moments, and a rare chance to witness Pakistan’s most iconic pairing up close.

It is not Fawad's first appearance at Global Village this year. He was there to interact with his fans for his previous Bollywood film 'Aabeer Gulaa', also starring Vaani Kapoor. So gear up for his electrifying energy and some good dose nostalgia for the Humsafar pair.
