Dubai: Abu Dhabi's Burjeel Holdings will manage ADNOC-owned new Das Hospital on Das Island. The deal marks a major gain for Burjeel, which until now has focused on building and managing its own brand of hospitals and clinics.

The Das Hospital deal 'supports ADNOC’s commitment to strengthening emergency preparedness, improving healthcare accessibility, and promoting community wellbeing at Das Island'.

The Das Hospital is for primary healthcare and an emergency response hub for Das Island residents. The facility will provide 'round-the-clock care' for ADNOC’s workforce, residents, and emergency medical cases arising from nearby locations.

According to Dr. Ghuwaya Al Neyadi, Senior VP, Group Medical & Wellbeing at ADNOC, “Das Hospital will provide access to top-tier healthcare and emergency services for our employees, reinforcing our 'energy for well-being strategy'.

Burjeel Holdings will oversee all clinical and administrative functions of the hospital. The facility includes outpatient specialties such as general surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, occupational health and ENT. It also houses an emergency department with a minor operating room, licensed pharmacies, and a dedicated blood bank.

The Das Hospital builds on the foundation of the former Das Medical Center, thus significantly raising healthcare provision on the island.

It will also serve as the first responder for medical emergencies while supporting preventive and rehabilitative care aligned with ADNOC’s occupational health guidelines.
