Europe’s leader in renewable energy likely to break record as nation adds more capacity

Germany’s many thousands of solar panels set a new production record on Monday. 

Output reached as much as 47,817 megawatts (47.8 GW) just before noon Berlin time, according to data from the European Energy Exchange AG. 

Germany is already Europe’s leader in renewable energy, and the record is likely to be broken soon as the nation adds more capacity.
