The current CEO, Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Seiari, will retire by the end of the year after more than four decades of service. The company confirmed on Monday that Al Seiari will continue in an advisory role until year-end to ensure a smooth handover.

Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Seiari led Adnoc Drilling through a pivotal phase, including its 2021 IPO on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, which was oversubscribed 31 times and positioned the company as one of the world’s largest energy services providers.

His successor, Al Messabi has a background in complex energy operations and strategy execution makes him well-suited to steer the company’s continued expansion and innovation efforts.

His appointment comes as Adnoc Drilling intensifies its focus on regional growth, technological integration, and long-term shareholder value. The leadership change reaffirms Adnoc Drilling’s commitment to maintaining its competitive edge and accelerating its transformation into a technology-driven energy services company.
