Suspended all flights to/from Tel Aviv and European flights to Amman until September 15.
Abu Dhabi: Wizz Air has suspended all flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, and its European services to Amman, Jordan, effective immediately until September 15, 2025, due to the escalating situation in the Middle East.
In addition to the flight suspensions, the airline has announced it will avoid flying over Israeli, Iraqi, Iranian, and Syrian airspace until further notice.
“The safety and security of our passengers, crew, and aircraft is our top priority,” Wizz Air said in a statement issued on June 16. The airline added that it is closely monitoring developments in coordination with aviation and security authorities.
Wizz Air is reaching out directly to affected passengers who booked through its website or app, offering options including rebooking or full refunds. Customers who booked through third-party travel agents are advised to contact their providers for assistance.
“We appreciate our customers’ understanding and patience during this time,” the airline said, promising to provide further updates as the situation evolves.
The announcement comes amid broader regional disruptions impacting air travel, including flight cancellations, rerouting, and delays by multiple carriers operating in and out of the Gulf and the wider Middle East.
