Somali pirates seize Spanish fishing boat

Madrid: A Spanish fishing boat has been seized by pirates off the coast of Somalia, Spain's foreign ministry said.

The boat was carrying 26 crew members when it was seized on Sunday. The fate of the crew is unknown.

The boat is currently heading towards Somalia, an official said.

The incident comes two days after a French court charged six Somalis for taking hostage crew members of a French luxury yacht earlier this month.
