Dubai: Major General Mohammed Salah Abu Kresha, Secretary-General of Dakahlia Governorate in Egypt, suffered a heart attack while performing Eid Al Fitr prayers on Monday morning in Mansoura.

Abu Karisha was rushed to Mansoura International Hospital after experiencing the severe health crisis during the prayers.

Despite immediate medical intervention, doctors were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

His sudden passing cast a shadow of sorrow over the holiday celebrations in the governorate.

In response to the tragic incident, Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, announced the cancellation of the governorate’s Eid Al Fitr celebrations as a mark of respect and mourning for the late secretary general.

Abu Karisha was a respected leader in the governorate, known for his dedication and service. His passing has been met with an outpouring of condolences from officials and residents alike.
