Latino pop star Ricky Martin has vowed to try and change the negative perceptions of Arab youth in the West and promised to tour the Middle East in 2006.

He said he planned to do a concert tour of the Middle East and north Africa in May 2006.
The Arab Children's Congress was set up 25 years ago by Jordan's Queen Nour, King Hussein's widow, to promote creativity, peace, cross-cultural understanding and tolerance.
