Red Crescent and Red Cross waiting to step in
The International Red Crescent and Red Cross Society has expressed readiness to provide emergency relief and humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
Dr Saleh Al Tewajeri, chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent, said representatives of all the Red Crescent and Red Cross societies in the world recently met to discuss ways of extending help to the victims of Israel's atrocities.
"We all agreed on not rushing to send relief materials and aid to Lebanon unless the Red Crescent in Lebanon requests for us to do so. They told us some countries have already sent relief materials but they are blocked on the borders because of the attacks by Israeli forces," he said
"We have informed our brothers in the Lebanese Red Crescent about readiness to send anytime the relief materials. They also assured us of their good potentials and told us that they may need ambulances and medical supplies later on."
