Israel to free 250 prisoners before Muslim holiday

Nablus: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Saturday that Israel will free 250 as a goodwill gesture before an upcoming Muslim holiday.

Abbas said at a conference in Nablus that Israel will release the prisoners before Eid Al Adha, which is expected to take place on December 8.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced last week that he would release the prisoners.
