CAIRO, July 27, 2025 – Humanitarian aid trucks began entering the Gaza Strip from Egypt on Sunday, AFPTV footage confirmed, as Israel implemented a "tactical pause" in parts of the territory to facilitate aid deliveries.

Several trucks bore the flag of the United Arab Emirates and signs reading: "United Arab Emirates – Humanitarian Aid to Gaza – Water Support Projects in Gaza." The UAE continues to play a prominent role in humanitarian efforts for Gaza, providing essential relief, including clean water and medical supplies, to civilians affected by the conflict.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of UAE, affirmed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has reached a critical and unprecedented stage. Sheikh Abdullah emphasised that the United Arab Emirates remains at the forefront of efforts to deliver life-saving assistance to the Palestinian people.

The trucks first passed through the Rafah border area on the Egyptian side. Due to damage and Israeli control of the Palestinian side of Rafah since last year, aid must be rerouted to the nearby Kerem Shalom (Karam Abu Salem) crossing for inspection before entering Gaza.
