5.9 magnitude earthquake hits Southern Iran, no effect in UAE

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck Southern Iran on Tuesday morning, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

The tremor was recorded at a depth of 10km in the south-west of Iran at 09.06am UAE time, according to the NCM’s National Seismic Network.

Its effects were slightly felt by the residents north of the country and without any effect in the UAE, the NCM added.
