Washington: Saudi Arabia has taken strict measures against terrorist organisations
Continues to work to prevent extremist ideology, says US State Department
Abu Dhabi: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, received a phone call on Wednesday from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, in addition to exchanging views regarding developments in the region, and regional and international issues of common concern.
Meantime, a US State Department’s report confirmed that Saudi Arabia continues to work to prevent terrorist financing and combat extremist ideology and has taken strict measures against terrorist organisations.
The US State Department added in a report on terrorism that the kingdom responded to the terrorism of Al Qaida, Daesh and Houthi militias, noting that Saudi Arabia remained an effective partner in the international coalition against Daesh.
The report reaffirmed that Saudi oil sites were subjected to Iranian attacks last September.
