Security guard, driver killed in multi-truck crash in Saudi Arabia

Abu Dhabi: A security guard and a truck driver were killed on Monday after a multi-truck crash on the Al Sail Al Kabir Road towards Makkah, Saudi Arabia, police said.

“The security authorities in Makkah have launched an investigation into the fatal road accident. A security guard working for Civil Defense was killed while returning from work,” the police said.

The left front tyre of the truck burst on Al Sail Al Kabir Road towards Makkah, which resulted in the truck swerving and colliding into the concrete barrier. The barrier fell and the truck exited into the opposite side of the road, hit another truck and ploughed into a third truck, killing its driver on the spot.
