Abu Dhabi: The Saudi Shura Council, the country’s advisory body, demanded the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs replace non-Saudis in technical and supervisory jobs with citizens.
The council also pressed for privatising more municipal businesses, including licenses, with the requirement that their jobs be filled with Saudis.
In its virtual session chaired by deputy speaker Dr. Abdullah Al Maatani, the council voted for the National Cybersecurity Authority’s developing and training national human resources specialised in cybersecurity, employing them in technical information centers, and developing an index to measure the performance of the Government’s electronic systems, and the extent of their achievement of cybersecurity.
The House demanded the National Cybersecurity Authority work to confront criminal behaviors in cyberspace that incite extremism, violence and terrorism.
