A Saudi man has been executed for murder, the Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry has said.

Ahmad al-Otaibi was convicted of shooting dead Raid al-Bakri after an argument and was executed in the Afif region, near the capital Riyadh.

He is the 71st person to be put to death in the kingdom during 2005.

Last year 35 people were executed in Saudi Arabia.
