Abu Dhabi: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will host the meetings of the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, with the participation of their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders of member states tomorrow.
The summit is the first summit of the fifth decade of the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which has made many important and solid achievements of the joint Gulf work aimed at achieving the aspirations and aspirations of all the people of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The summit is expected to constitute a real opportunity to overcome a number of the main challenges facing the region, the most important of which is the unity of the Gulf ranks, unify efforts to confront the coronavirus, and restore economic growth for the countries of the region.
Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, affirmed that the Cooperation Council on Monday is steadily moving towards the fifth decade of the blessed cooperation process with the grace of God and then with the wisdom of their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC states, and that the 41st session will be held in the historic “Al-Ula”. Despite the exceptional circumstances the world is going through, the GCC leaders ’keenness to preserve the GCC as a cohesive system capable of overcoming difficulties and challenges.
The Secretary-General expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders of the GCC countries for their efforts to strengthen the bonds of the Gulf house and consolidate its foundations, expressing his hope that the decisions of the summit of the leaders of the GCC countries will lead to pushing the march of joint Gulf action forward, in order to enhance the security and stability of the GCC states, which is an indivisible whole. And in fulfillment of the aspirations and hopes of the citizens of the GCC countries towards more coherence, cooperation and integration.
Al-Hajraf concluded his speech with thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Kingdom's government in preparation. Preparing for the summit by harnessing all capabilities and overcoming difficulties to ensure the success of the summit, which the Kingdom is hosting for the tenth time in the history of the Gulf summits.
