Losing or damaging documents could lead to difficulties or delays in receiving assistance
Dubai: With a new wave of Umrah pilgrims arriving in the holy cities, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a renewed awareness campaign calling on visitors to safeguard their personal documents throughout their stay.
The ministry emphasised that official documents, such as passports, identification cards, and permits, are essential for accessing services and moving smoothly between the holy sites.
Authorities warned that losing or damaging these documents could lead to difficulties or delays in receiving assistance.
The campaign, which features multilingual guidance distributed across digital platforms and on-the-ground channels, encourages Umrah pilgrims to store their documents securely, prevent damage or loss, and present them promptly upon request by officials.
Adhering to these guidelines, the ministry said, not only streamlines the pilgrimage experience but also supports service providers in delivering timely and efficient assistance.
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to enhance the experience for all visitors throughout the year, ensuring that the needs of Umrah pilgrims are met with the same rigor and care seen during the Hajj season.
