Saudi Arabia: Three men arrested in Riyadh for cyber-fraud

Cairo: Saudi police had arrested three suspects in the capital Riyadh for defrauding people via social media by impersonating women.

The Riyadh police said that the three lured their victims and then forcibly rob them of their money and cars.

The suspects, all in their 20s, had allegedly forced victims into disclosing their bank accounts and seize the money, the police added without disclosing their nationalities.

The trio admitted in investigations to have perpetrated two robberies, seizing a car and a total of 9,000 riyals, police said. They were apprehended as part of legal procedures against them.
