Abu Dhabi: Saudi authorities have shut down a sports club in Hail, north western Saudi Arabia, for breaking preventive protocols to stem the spread of coronavirus, Saudi media reported.

The Hail municipality said inspectors spotted a number of violations, including non-compliance with the regulations and lack of commitment to physical distancing, which led to its immediate closure.

The Hail municipal officials said inspectors crack down on violators and spare no effort to check the spread of COVID-19 infections, especially in public gathering sites.
