Watch: Men's salon owner in Saudi Arabia faces action for offering services to women

Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Municipality has launched an investigation into a men’s salon after a video surfaced showing the establishment offering services to a woman, a clear violation of licensing regulations.

The municipality’s field inspection teams responded to a citizen complaint filed through its unified 940 hotline, which was accompanied by a widely shared video of the incident.

The municipality immediately despatched teams to investigate, uncovering several violations, including failure to comply with the terms of the salon’s licensed activities.

The owner of the establishment has been summoned for further legal proceedings, the municipality confirmed. Officials emphasised the importance of adhering to regulations to ensure the safety and quality of services provided to the community.

“The Riyadh Municipality is committed to enforcing regulatory compliance and addressing violations to uphold public standards and ensure service quality,” the municipality said in a statement.
