Dubai: Saudi authorities have launched a manhunt for suspects involved in snatching a handbag from a woman in the Manfouha neighbourhood of Riyadh.

The move follows the circulation of a video on social media showing a woman being robbed. The footage, which quickly went viral, captured the moment her handbag was snatched, prompting public concern and calls for arresting the suspects.

Upon verifying the content, Riyadh Police confirmed that security authorities acted swiftly to address the incident. A formal investigation was launched, and efforts are currently underway to identify and apprehend the suspects.

According to the official spokesperson for Riyadh Police, the suspects will be referred to the Public Prosecution upon arrest to face legal proceedings. The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring public safety and enforcing the law against those who disrupt security or endanger citizens.

The public have been urged to report any information that may assist in the apprehension of the suspects as the investigation continues.
