Saudi Arabia: Indian man arrested for illegal trading of prepaid phone cards

Abu Dhabi: An Indian resident has been arrested for trading prepaid mobile phone cards from foreign telecommunications companies, Saudi police said.

Lieutenant Colonel Hussein Al Qahtani, spokesman for the Medina Police Department, said 47,500 cards worth about one million riyals, and 7,766 riyals were seized in the man’s possession.

The resident, in his 40s, was remanded in police custody and will be referred to public prosecution for trial, police said.
