Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia on Sunday strongly condemned a deadly terrorist attack on police officers in Tunisia, local media reported.

Police in Tunisia chased and shot dead three militants after they attacked police officers, killing one of them, in the coastal city of Sousse on Sunday.

“Terrorists stabbed two policemen at El Kantaoui district, in Sousse. One of them died. The police pursued the terrorists and killed them,” said Houssem Jbebli, a National Guard spokesman.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences on the death of the officer and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded policeman.

The ministry also expressed full solidarity with Tunisia in confronting any attempt to target its security and stability.
