Cairo: Saudi police said they have arrested six Pakistani men involved in a street fight in the coastal city of Jeddah. A video purportedly shows a number of Pakistani nationals quarreling, with some wielding sticks during the incident. Some compatriots and pedestrians were seen attempting to stop the fight.

The violence erupted among transport workers in Jeddah’s district of Bab Sharif due to an unspecified dispute, Saudi newspaper Okaz reported.

Some of them sustained injuries in the fracas. Spokesman for the Mecca police Major Mohammed Al Ghamdi said in a reference to the video circulated on social media, six Pakistanis were identified and arrested. They are in their 30s and 40s in age.

The fight was due to a previous dispute among them, the official added without details.
