Cairo: Saudi police had arrested five expatriates for stealing hundreds of cattle in western areas of the kingdom, a security official has said.
The suspects in their 30s and 40s of age are four Sudanese foreign residents and a violator of border rules, a spokesman for the Mecca region added.
They are accused of stealing 580 cattle in the governorates of Heddah, Taif and the holy Mecca, the official.
Legal procedures were taken against them and they were referred to public prosecution.
Earlier this week, the Saudi Interior Ministry said that nearly 13,000 violators of residency, labour and border security laws had been arrested across the kingdom over the period from August 12 to August 18.
