Dubai: To accommodate the influx of worshippers and Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan, the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has deployed 20,000 Zamzam water containers throughout the Grand Mosque, ensuring easy access to the blessed water while maintaining hygiene and order.

The authority has urged visitors to follow awareness guidelines, emphasizing the proper disposal of plastic cups in designated waste bins and advising against opening water containers. These measures are intended to uphold cleanliness and ensure a seamless experience for worshippers.

Beyond the availability of Zamzam water, the Grand Mosque has been outfitted with fully equipped ablution facilities at key locations, including the King Fahd expansion area—accessible via escalators and elevators—the Mas’a area near Al Marwah, and courtyards on both the eastern and western sides of the mosque.

Additional facilities have been installed between Mecca Company and Dar Al Tawhid, as well as in the northern courtyards, to serve the growing number of visitors.

The presidency has reiterated the importance of using designated ablution areas and keeping Zamzam water strictly for drinking.
