COVID-19: Saudi Arabia reports 1,342 new coronavirus cases, 35 deaths

Tuesday’s recoveries raise recovered cases to 243,688

Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reported 1,342 new coronavirus cases, an increase of 84 infections over the previous day, breaking a consistent downward trend over the past few days.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom to 281,435, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also announced 35 more deaths from complications caused by the deadly virus, taking the total number of fatalities to 2,984.

In the meantime, 1,635 more patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of recovered cases in the Kingdom to 243,688.

Of the new cases, 90 were registered in Riyadh, 56 in Mecca and 53 in Medina and 50 in Dammam. The remaining cases were detected in various other cities and governorates of the Kingdom.

There are 34,763 actives cases, including 1,983 critical under intensive care.
