Dubai: As many as 100 commercial outlets have been closed in Jeddah for breaching COVID-19 precautionary measures, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The closures come after Jeddah municipality carried out 4,246 inspection tours of commercial centers and facilities. A total of 247 violations have been identified, most of which were related to overcrowding and failure to effectively use the Tawakkalna app.

The municipality urged people to help maintain public health by reporting any COVID-19 violation to the 940 call center number.
