Arab leaders let down their hair over casual dinner

Social media users say comaraderie displayed in picture signifies Arab unity and a brighter future

Dubai: Arab leaders held an informal dinner together following the Arab Summit held in the Saudi city of Dhahran on Sunday.

The leaders appear relaxed without wearing the traditional Arab headdress known as the agal, exchanging cordial smiles.

Among those in attendance were His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Bahraini King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa, Jordanian King Abdullah, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sissi.

Historic meeting

The picture was posted by Saud Al Qah’tani, Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court, on his Twitter account.

One social media user, Noura Musaad, tweeted the picture with the caption: “A historical meeting”.

Another user, Ali Bin Tamim, an Emirati journalist, wrote: “This picture signifies Arab unity going towards brighter future”.
