Dubai: A total of 530 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Qatar while two COVID-19 patients have died and 1,804 others have fully recovered, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported on Saturday.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections to 99,183 while there have been 123 fatalities so far and 90,387 recoveries overall, leaving 8,673 active COVID-19 cases under treatment.
During the past 24 hours, 10 people were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), bringing the total number of people currently in intensive care units to 185. The ministry conducted 5,910 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 372,005.
Over the past few weeks, Qatar has witnessed a significant drop in the number of daily cases and a considerable spike in recoveries. The Ministry of Public Health said the measures to tackle COVID-19 in Qatar have succeeded as is evident from the downward trend.
