Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Friday reported 235 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 121,287.

221 patients have made full recovery from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people who have recovered in Qatar to 118,199, leaving 2,883 active cases under treatment.

Out of the 235 new cases, 227 are local cases and 8 from travellers returning from abroad.

Additionally, no new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, keeping the country’s death toll at 205.

The latest cases were detected after conducting 4,071 tests in the last 24 hours, taking the total tests done so far to 680,633 tests. There are 43 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 375.

Seven patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 50.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
