Dubai: Qatar has announced the detection of 494 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country to 105,477 .
According to latest coronavirus update on Thursday, the Ministry of Public Health said that one people has died from the virus, bringing the country’s fatality tally to 152.
The ministry also announced the recovery of 531 COVID-19 infected patients during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases to 102,168. This includes the last batch of recovered COVID-19 patients, who have been discharged from HMC’s Mesaieed Hospital
The newly detected cases were revealed after conducting 5,803 PCR tests, raising to 430,661 the total number of people tested for coronavirus since the outbreak of the COVID-19 contagion. The incidence rate has dropped to 8.5 per cent, down from 10 per cent, while the mortality rate is 0.14 per cent.
There are 3,157 active cases, including 564 critical and 135 seriously ill patients currently under intensive care.
