Dubai: Qatar reported 393 new cases of the novel coronavirus, shooting up the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 107,041.
One patient has died from the COVID-19 infection, bringing the country’s death tally to 160, according to latest coronavirus updates announced by the Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday.
The ministry also revealed that 409 COVID-19 infected patients have fully recovered during the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 104,191.
The new cases were detected after the ministry conducted 5,132 PCR tests, raising to 451,168 the total number of people tested for coronavirus since the outbreak of the COVID-19 contagion.
There are 3,079 active cases, including 549 critical and 119 seriously ill patients under intensive care.
