Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 206 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) while 232 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, and one person died.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Gulf country to 127,600 and recoveries to 124,559 while 219 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar so far.

Out of the 206 new cases, 191 are community cases and 15 from travellers returning from abroad.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The latest cases were detected after the ministry conducted 5,347 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 820,368 tests. There are 34 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 356.

Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 55.
