Muscat: A top Indian fashion designer and a well-known singer will take part in the Spirit of India in Oman event to celebrate double occasion of the 40th National Day of Oman and the Republic Day of India.

Ritu Beri, the first Indian fashion ambassador to showcase her collection on the catwalks of Paris, will bring her new creations for a show on January 28 at the Indian Embassy lawns in the Diplomatic District in Muscat.

On February 4, Pankaj Udhas, a renowned gazal singer from India, will take to the stage to entertain his large fan following in Muscat. Udhas has been coming to Muscat since later 80s and has performed a number of times here.

Both the shows are organised by the Light and Shadow Enterprises in association with the Embassy of India, Muscat & is honored to be celebrating with the Spirit of India in Oman, where we will be organizing two glorious events a fashion show and a musical concert at the Indian Embassy. 

“Anil Wadhwa, the Ambassador of India has successfully promoted Indian and Omani fostering stronger relations and ties between the two countries,” said Shruti Chowdhary, Director of Light and Shadows in a press statement released here today (Saturday).

“This being the last year of Wadhwa’s tenure in Oman as the Ambassador of India we would like to do this event on a very grand scale and celebrate the 40th National Day of Oman and the Republic Day of India,” she added.

This would be the 3rd consecutive year that Light & Shadow Enterprises would be bringing to a series of events for the Celebration of the Republic Day in association with the Indian Embassy.
