Dubai: Oman’s Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed left on a private visit to Germany on Wednesday.
The visit is partly vacation and partly to undergo medical tests, local media reported, citing the Diwan of the Royal Court.
“Protected by Allah, His Majesty the Sultan will pay a private visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on 11th of Ramadan 1435 AH to spend his annual vacation and conduct some medical examinations,” the statement said. “May Allah safeguard His Majesty the Sultan during his journey, shower him with bounties and grant him good health and well-being to be a source of pride for the nation and his loyal subjects.”
Social media in Oman has been flooded with messages of support for the sultan and wishes for his early recovery. Many have chosen Ramadan to conduct special prayers for him.
