Police arrest suspect in murder of expat in Oman

Muscat: An Indian expatriate suspected of murdering his compatriot in Oman has been arrested, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) tolf Gulf News on Saturday.

Ali Al Kasbi, an ROP spokesman, said the victim was found in Ruwi district last week, and had marks of severe beating on his body.

Al Kasbi said that the body was sent to ROP hospital where a post-mortem revealed that the victim died due to severe beating.

The case has been transferred to the Public Prosecution Department.
